Author Conversation: Psychedelics, Consciousness & Writing to Heal

  • Tahoe Wine Collective Boatworks Mall, 760 N Lake Blvd, Ste 1 Tahoe City, CA, 96145 United States (map)

Join authors Shannon Nering, Priya Hutner and Bridey Thelen-Heidel for an intimate, thought-provoking conversation about psychedelics, consciousness and writing to heal. Shannon dismantled her career as a television host and walked away from her life. Priya escaped a highly controlled spiritual community. Bridey freed herself from her life with an abusive mother. Together they explore the courage required to reinvent yourself, consciousness and how writing is powerful tool for transformation, and for two of the authors how ayahuasca helped them heal.

Shannon Nering author of The Mother Vine: How I Healed My Heart with Ayahuasca, explores motherhood, marriage, burnout, and spiritual awakening.

Priya Hutner is an author of Chasing Nirvana: A Seeker’s Story of Love, Loss, and Liberation, chronicles her life in a cult with a charismatic guru from Brooklyn and what it took to escape.

Bridey Thelen-Heidel, author of Bright Eyes is a raw and fiercely hopeful story about surviving a chaotic childhood shaped by her mother’s addiction, and finding the strength to break free, heal, and create a life of her own.
